Jackpot slots feed a portion of every wager into a shared prize pool that pays out on trigger. The category spans network progressives (Mega Moolah, Dream Drop), must-drop dailies (Red Tiger Daily Jackpots) and fixed jackpots that live inside a single game.

Below is every jackpot-mechanic slot in our tracker, sorted by release date and re-ranked by max win and RTP.

    How Jackpot Slots Work

A network progressive collects a small percentage of every spin — usually 1-3% — across every casino running the game. The pool grows until one player triggers the top prize, at which point it resets to a seed value and starts climbing again. Mega Moolah has produced multiple eight-figure winners on this model.

Must-drop jackpots guarantee a payout inside a window: before a set time, before the pool reaches a ceiling, or within a fixed number of spins. Red Tiger's Daily Jackpots are the most widespread example, dropping at least once per day at every operator running the network.

Fixed jackpots aren't networked. They're a defined top-symbol prize inside the game itself, hit through the base maths rather than a separate trigger. RTP contribution to the jackpot layer is often 1-4 percentage points lower than the same game without the jackpot, so factor that in when picking between versions.

    Frequently asked questions

Every spin contributes a small percentage of the bet to a shared jackpot pool that grows until one player triggers the top prize, then resets to a seed value.
A jackpot with a guaranteed trigger condition — a time, a value ceiling or a spin count — that forces the pool to pay out before it can grow further.
Usually yes. Feeding the jackpot layer reduces the RTP paid out in normal play, often by 1-4 percentage points versus the same game without a jackpot.
Some jackpot networks require a minimum qualifying bet or scale trigger chance with stake. Always check the paytable — many players have missed jackpots by betting under the qualifying threshold.
Mega Moolah holds the record for online jackpot slots with multiple eight-figure euro payouts, including a €19.4M winner in 2018.
