Ireland's gambling landscape is undergoing its most significant overhaul in nearly a century. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) became operational in March 2025 under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, replacing the decades-old framework previously administered by the Revenue Commissioners. The new regulator can impose fines of up to twenty million euros or ten per cent of turnover for non-compliance.
