How Bonus Buy Slots Work
The buy price is expressed as a stake multiplier — 100x is the most common floor, with premium buys running to 500x or higher. Paying 100x your bet on a £1 spin costs £100 and drops you into the bonus round.
Providers usually publish a separate RTP for feature buys. It's often slightly higher than the base RTP because you're skipping negative-EV base-game spins, but variance is enormous: a single bad buy can cost the full ticket with no return. Bankroll planning matters more here than in almost any other format.
The UKGC banned feature buys in 2023 as part of its wider slot-design reforms, so UK players will see the buy button greyed out or removed. In MGA and Curacao markets, buys remain a standard part of the modern slot menu.
